1986 LAND ROVER DEFENDER 110 WITH 200TDi, lots of extras with long MOT and TAX in Bristol, Gloucestershire for sale

1986 LAND ROVER DEFENDER 110 WITH 200TDi, lots of

Here is my much loved Defender that Ive owned for quite a few years now. She is fitted with a Discovery 200TDi engine and I had a recondition gearbox and new clutch fitted about 18months ago. On top of this she has a side exit stainless steel exhaust fitted, boost increase and tweeked fuel pump. It pulls very well and is very good on fuel for what it is. Other mods include the 285/75 R16 Cooper ST Tyres on 16x8 modular rims, Terrafirma steering damper, Heavy duty steering gaurd, tubular bumper with recovery points, light bar with lights that work, front light gaurds, 90 roof rack inc ladder, rear bumperetts, genuine Land Rover rear mud flaps and a tow bar. I also have a spare 16x8 modular wheel but no tyre and rear fuel tank gaurd which is NOT fitted. Interior: The front seats are split as seen in the photos, centre cubby box, carpeted rear load space, home made wooden built storage chest behind bulk head which is carpeted and wooden contructed seat on drivers side that isnt carpeted or has any cushions. This sits two people if needed. All looks very neat in my opinion and its all easy to remove if not needed. It also has a smaller steering wheel fitted and power steering. It has a long MOT and has only ever failed on small things and nothing serious. When it MOT'd last time it failed on a shock absorber so I replaced all the springs with heavy duty ones and a set of 4 standard shocks. The chassis is solid but it does need a patch on the front out rigger and it could do with a repair on the inside of the rear cross-member on the end on the drivers side. It was like this when it was MOT'd and was an advisory. Thought I would say about it as I like to be honest. The bulkhead is solid and so are the floors. The bulkhead has had the top corners repaired and it was like it when I purchased the Landy, not that pretty but solid. People who have worked on her have commented that she a good honest solid example. I have carried out regulaur oil and filter changes, its had the A-frame bull joint recently done and about a year ago new front and rear props. Ive also changed the diff oils a couple of times. Ive also not that long ago put on a very expensive BOSCH battery. The 4x4 system and difflock works just as it should. Ive got loads of reciepts for the things Ive done to her. One other thing to mention is the key doesnt lock or unlock the back door and the passenger door from the outside but both work just fine from the inside. Also the passenger window doesnt go up or down. Overall the landy drives great never ever fails to start, it has a few dings and scratchs but what Land Rover doesnt. It very reliable and will get you any where you want to go weather its on the road or off it. Ive only used it for work/commuting but not heavy duty stuff or towing and only light greenlane use. Its MOT'd until November 2012 and TAX until October so its ready to drive away. Genuine reason for sale is Ive changed jobs some time ago and work less than 2 miles from my home now.
