One of the original and best examples of a very early Swiss-made Levinson Blade – serial number 97371. The design is clearly based on the Fender Stratocaster, but the specification, build quality and playability of this instrument surpasses even Fender’s Custom Shop standards. The impeccable quality coming out of the Gary Levinson Custom Shop at that time raised the bar in terms of quality workmanship. Apart from light pick marks to the scratch plate, and a few marks on the rear of the body, this guitar is in fantastic condition – easily 9/10. It has has no noticeable fret wear, so it’s clearly been cherished. The metallic red finish is immaculate, and looks great against the black of the scratch plate and pick-up covers. The maple neck is a dream to play, and has been set up to perfection. The ebony fingerboard is just incredibly comfortable, and the 22 jumbo frets provide great resonance. The headstock has Sperzal locking tuners fitted - also in black. The Adjustable Tension Guide (ATG) perfectly balances the string tension at the nut with asymmetric a spring loaded height adjustment to keep you in tune, no matter how hard you wail on your whammy bar. Falcon Tremolo This patented tremolo looks,feels and sounds like a vintage style unit but incorporates a patented double block system that also allows uptrem while sitting flat on the guitar body. Unlike floating tremolos, the Falcon transmits all of the tone the strings and wood have to offer for the biggest sound possible. The Falcon Tremolo enhances attack and sustain AND stays in tune even if a string is broken - a feature that floating trems cannot do.
